Handpainted with Gouache

This is the first time I have worked with Gouache paint, and I love it!

I really love the way it’s both watercolour and acrylic in style, it means I can layer the paint, especially light on to dark which you can’t do with watercolour.

I think that moths are sometimes overlooked as being ‘drab’ and ‘boring’ – I wanted to show you all how exciting and colourful they can be!

These are all species found in the UK.

I’m going to be making these in to greeting cards that will be sold on my Etsy store and also at Weeting Nature Reserve visitor centre.

I hope you like it. You can expect some more gouache painting from me in the near future.
